Job Description

This position is for those seeking to make a name for themselves within a company and excel in their field. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with analyzing purchasing activities, optimizing procurement processes, identifying inventory trends, and ensuring cost savings. This position interacts with internal departments at all levels, as well as external suppliers, to support efficient cost-saving purchasing solutions and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

· Analyze purchasing data for cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.

· Research suppliers of goods and services

· Gather quotes, proposals, and purchase terms and conditions

· Execute the purchase of goods or services approved by management

· Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts

· Monitor and record supplier performance

· Serve as a point person in vendor relationships, addressing questions or concerns

· Working closely with the Production and Sales team members.

· Monitor and control inventory and submit purchase orders as needed

· Recommend new products, services, or materials in keeping with industry trends

· Negotiate and discuss pricing with external vendors

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education

· High school Diploma or equivalent required

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field is a plus.

Experience

· Minimum 3 years Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)

· Minimum 2 Years Customer Service Experience in an office setting

· QuickBooks Experience (Required)

· Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Excel & Word (Required)

Skills

· Understanding of procurement software.

· Experience in procurement and vendor management.

· Strong negotiation and communication skills.

· Professional written and verbal communication with interpersonal skills

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
