Job Description
Position Overview:
The Production Artist is responsible for the preparation and modification of artwork to ensure high-quality production across various promotional products. This role requires a strong attention to detail and proficiency in graphic design software to accurately follow client specifications. The Production Artist will collaborate closely with the Production team to deliver precise and timely artwork that meets the company’s quality standards. This position demands efficiency, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for complete prepress set, layout, sizing, adjusting, color matching, and color separating of artwork, including touchups to artwork.
- Review and proof artwork files for errors, color accuracy, and overall quality before sending them to production.
- Maintain an organized workflow, managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with teams to clarify artwork requirements and resolve issues.
- Ensure that all artwork adheres to the company’s quality control standards before it moves to the next stage of production.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
- Basic knowledge of silk screening, pad printing, heat transferring, and 4 color process printing, is a huge plus.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player.
- Willing to work overtime when needed.
Physical Demands:
- Seated for extended periods at a workstation working on orders.
- May need to walk out onto the production floor to see the final outcome of the imprint
