Overnight Extrusion Operator -

Seeking an experienced extrusion operator to join our team! If you enjoy working with machines and refer to yourself as “mechanically inclined”, you could be a great fit for our company as our extrusion operator. The extrusion department is responsible for manufacturing material in sheet and roll form. The main objective of this position is to work with a team to efficiently help in the production of plastic roles and sheets.

This is an OVERNIGHT 12 hour position

Monday through Thursday - WEEKENDS OFF!!

48 hours a week - Built in OT!!

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining cleanliness of extrusion line equipment by removing dust and liquids off the machines, cleaning the vacuum hoses and bags.
• Preparing the work area for upcoming projects
• Stringing up the plastic through the extrusion line and collect material in rolls and sheets
• Assisting operator in pulling the rolls of plastic off the spindles and help to prepare the spindles for the next roll by putting on cores and taping the cores
• Accurately boxing, labeling an taping plastic roles and sheets
• Building boxes on a skid to the requested order or height
• Operating forklift for moving materials during production and for line set up
• Ensuring chemicals and regrind are stocked and ready to use as requested by the operator
• Contribute to creating a positive work environment by maintaining a clean and organized area
• Other duties and assignments as required

Job Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

• MUST BE MECANICALLY INCLINED!
• Must have at least two years of experience in a production/manufacturing workspace
• Must have High school diploma or its equivalent
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must be well-organized and have a history of showing initiative

Preferred:

• Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations
• Forklift Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
