Machine Operator – 2nd Shift – 3:00am – 12:00pm

Essential Accountabilities

• Utilize and maintain the functionality of the thermoformers, as well run all band saws when required.
• Increase process efficiency by ensuring parts that do not meet standard are addressed, as well as checking the cut on the saw. Also buffing and folding parts, as well as putting molds away, when time allows.
• Installing new molds, as required, to complete production schedule.
• Correctly complete daily production orders and reports.
• Other duties and assignments as required.

Education/Certifications

• High School Diploma/GED

Experience

• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred

• Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Technical — In-depth knowledge of thermoforming and making adjustments to maximize machine run time.
• Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance. Tools include: allen keys, wrenches, hammers, band cutting shears, horizontal band saw
• Verbal & Written Communication Skills –This position requires basic skills (Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.)
• Math Skills – This position requires minimal skills (add, subtract, etc.)

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Physical Requirement: Demanding. Must have ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Employee must be able to sit, climb or balance, hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms.

Working Conditions: Duties performed in a manufacturing plant environment: can be high heat, high humidity, and airborne particles.
