Grinder
Job Description
The mixing department is responsible for preparation of materials used in the extrusion department. The overall objective of this position is to grind plastic for reuse.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Ensure the quality of products by screening scrap for contamination while grinding.
- Support process efficiency by maintaining regrind levels, emptying scrap containers, mixing and blending.
- Other duties and assignments as required.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Physical Requirement: Demanding. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8 hour shift while wearing PPE (gloves, safety goggles and dust mask)
Employee must be able to climb or balance, hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms.
Working Conditions: Duties performed in a manufacturing plant environment: can be high heat, high humidity, exposure to airborne particles and high noise levels. PPE is required and supplied.
Overtime: Required as needed.
Hours: Shifts vary and last 8 hours. Overtime as needed.
Additional Information
Grinder – 1st Shift – 6:15am -2:45pm - $15.00/hr
Grinder – 2 Shift – 2:30pm – 11:00pm -$15.50/hr
