Job Description
The Assistant Packaging and Graphics Coordinator supports execution of graphics and packaging projects across a variety of formats and mediums. This role supports internal and external customers and vendors to optimize output for consumer-facing packaging and POP materials. You will provide creative inspiration, complete physical production of packaging elements, and support of company priorities.
Responsibilities:
· Work as part of a team that strategically fulfills internal and external customer requirements.
· Support the Packaging and Graphics Designer on a wide variety of creative projects, including packaging design, marketing collateral (catalogs, brochures, sales flyers, etc.), planograms and in-store displays, branding, trade show, photography, website assets, social media creative, and much more.
· Support graphic project management from inception to implementation.
· Collaborates with internal customers to ensure project specifications are clearly defined, able to be re-produced, and managed within our internal processes.
· Effectively utilizes graphics software for prepress creation.
· Support on-demand printing and trimming of small batch packaging projects, including product and packaging labels, backer cards, header cards, etc.
· Works with all internal teams & external customers to ensure new graphics are set up correctly.
· Follow and maintain brand standards as set by customers.
· Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
· High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in graphics or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
· Adept with Adobe Creative Cloud programs, specifically Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
· Ability to work on a wide range of projects and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy are required.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Cooperate with co-workers in creating smooth workflow.
· Ability to multi-task and understand that urgent business needs may require changing of temporary priorities.
· This position requires the associate to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
· May be required to individually lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Additional Skills:
· Experience with both PC and Mac platforms.
· Adept with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
· Experience working on a wide range of consumer packaging.
· Working understanding of packaging design and product labeling standards.
· Working understanding of print production requirements.
· Experience with UPC codes.
· Workplace experience with photography, including digital SLRs and product lighting.
Bonus Skills:
· Experience in private label packaging
· Experience using large format printers.
· Experience using plotter/cutters.
· Experience using large format laminators.
· Experience with QuickLabel software and printers.
· Experience with BarTender software.
· Experience with Ortery 360° photography systems.
· Knowledge of welding products.
Additional Information
Compensation: $18 - 23 /hr an hour (non-exempt role)
Hours: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, M-F (adjustable)
Potential for full-time role
Onsite position – not remote
Paid Holidays: New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day
