Apartment Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations and physical integrity of a multifamily apartment community. This hands-on role includes performing general repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to service requests to ensure a safe and well-maintained living environment for all residents. Primary Responsibilities

· - Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner

· - Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues

· - Perform general carpentry, painting, drywall, and minor roofing repairs

· - Ensure units are market-ready by completing turnover repairs and inspections

· - Conduct regular inspections of property grounds, common areas, and mechanical systems

· - Assist in maintaining supply inventory and requesting materials as needed

· - Provide support for emergency maintenance situations and participate in on-call rotation

· - Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations

Qualifications

· - 2+ years of experience in residential or commercial property maintenance

· - Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair

· - EPA Type II or Universal HVAC certification preferred

· - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions

· - Strong problem-solving and communication skills

· - Must pass a background check and drug screening

· - Valid driver’s license preferred
